Suite 02 · Jordan Reyes, LMT

One client an hour.

There is no second table, no overlapping schedule and no thirty-minute slot. The whole method is that the person working on you has nowhere else to be, which turns out to be most of what separates good bodywork from the other kind.

Solstice / The menu / Massage & bodywork

What ninety minutes buys you

A sixty-minute massage spends fifteen minutes warming tissue, thirty minutes working, and fifteen minutes finishing. That is a fine hour. It is not enough time to change anything structural, because tissue does not release on a schedule and the first thing that goes when the clock is short is patience.

Ninety minutes buys the pause. Jordan can spend eleven minutes on one shoulder if the shoulder needs eleven minutes, and the rest of the session absorbs it. That is the entire argument for the longer appointment, and it is why there is no sixty-minute option on this menu.

Deep tissue is a tempo, not a force

The phrase is badly named. Deep tissue does not mean harder; it means slower, and aimed at the layer underneath the one most people work. Pressure applied faster than the tissue can yield produces guarding: your body braces, the muscle tightens against the hand, and both of you spend the hour fighting. Pressure applied slowly at the same depth is often described afterward as gentler, and does more.

If you have been told you need "the strongest person in the building," you have probably been having fast massage rather than deep massage. It is worth one session to find out.

What is on the table.

01
Deep Tissue

Sustained pressure, slow tempo, forearm and elbow where the hand is not enough. Full body or focused on two regions, decided in the first four minutes. The standard appointment here.

90 min
$240
02
Structural Session

Rolf-informed work on the fascial planes rather than the muscle belly: hips and pelvis, then ribs and breath, then neck. Booked as a series of three, four weeks apart, or not at all.

90 min × 3
$680
03
Aromatic Hand & Foot

Herbal soak, reflexology points, hot stones, then a full release from fingertip to shoulder and toe to hip. Read the body rituals page for this one.

50 min
$155
On the three-session series

It is priced below three individual appointments because the second and third are shorter conversations, not because it is a package designed to lock you in. Cancel after the first and you pay for one at the standard rate. Nothing is prepaid.

The forty-eight hours afterwards.

Nobody warns you about this properly, so here it is in advance.

Hour 0 – 4

Loose, slightly heavy, occasionally light-headed on standing. Drink water, eat something, and do not book a workout for the same evening. The tissue is warm and will not hold a correction you fight against.

Hour 12 – 36

This is the sore window, and it is normal. It reads like the day after a hard session in the gym: dull, diffuse, worse on waking. Sharp or radiating pain is not this, and is worth a phone call.

Day 3 onward

The part you booked it for. Range comes back, the shoulder sits where it should, and sleep is usually better for a week. If nothing changed by day three, say so. The next session gets planned differently rather than repeated.

Asked often.

How do I ask for the right pressure?

Use a number out of ten and use it during, not after. Seven is the useful target: distinctly strong, still able to breathe normally. If you are holding your breath you are at nine and nothing good happens at nine. We wrote this out at length in asking for the right pressure.

Do I have to undress completely?

No. Undress to whatever you are comfortable with; the draping works either way and Jordan will work around clothing without comment. Most people leave underwear on. See what to wear, what to leave on.

I am pregnant. Can I book?

After the first trimester, yes, side-lying with bolsters, and the deep work comes off the table. Say so when you book so the right suite and the right cushions are set up before you arrive.

Why is the wait so long?

Because one person can do six of these in a day and there are only so many days. We have been asked more than once to add a second therapist. The answer has been no for four years, which is the same reason the wait is long and the reason it is worth it.

Bodywork books two months out.

That is honest rather than a tactic. Get on the list and the waitlist moves more than you would think.
