From Olympia
US 101 north to the Black Lake Boulevard exit, then west and south for about fourteen miles. The road narrows twice and changes name once, which it does not warn you about. When you pass the volunteer fire station on your right you have two and a half miles left.
The turning is a break in the treeline on the left with a wooden marker about the size of a mailbox. There is no sign on the road and there never has been. If you reach the second bridge you have gone about half a mile too far.
From Seattle
I-5 south to Olympia and then as above. Ninety minutes without traffic and a good deal more between three and six on a Friday. If you are coming for a sixty-minute treatment, consider the full afternoon instead; three hours of driving for one hour on a table is a strange shape of day and people regret it.
The last mile
Gravel, maintained, and fine for any car including a low one. Fifteen miles an hour is right. There is a blind left-hand curve about halfway and a cattle grid immediately after it, which is where every dropped exhaust in six years has happened.

Parking
Gravel apron in front of the building, room for about fourteen cars, never full on a weekday. On a Saturday afternoon it can be, and the overflow is the flat ground fifty yards back up the road on the right.
