Four services · sixty minutes or less

The brow does more of the work.

Lashes get the attention and brows change the face. Three of the four things on this page take under an hour and one of them lasts six weeks, which is a better return than almost anything on the lash side.

01
Brow Lamination

A relaxer breaks the bonds in the hair, the hairs get combed up and set, and a neutraliser locks the new direction. Then tint and shape. Six weeks of brows that stay where you brushed them.

02
Henna Brows

Unlike a standard tint, henna stains the skin under the hair as well as the hair itself. Sparse brows read fuller because the gaps are shaded. Two to four weeks on skin, up to six on hair.

03
Brow Tint

Hair only, no skin stain. Faster, cheaper, and the right answer if your brows are dense and just pale. Three to four weeks.

04
Brow Shaping

Mapped to your bone structure, then waxed, tweezed and trimmed. Twenty-five with any lash refill, forty on its own.

Lamination and henna together

$130 rather than $150, and it is the combination most people actually want: the lamination gives direction, the henna fills the gaps the direction reveals. Book it as one appointment, seventy-five minutes.

Which one, plainly.

If your brows are — unruly

Lamination

Thick brows that grow in four directions and will not stay where a gel puts them. Lamination is the only thing on this list that changes direction rather than colour.

If your brows are — sparse

Henna

Gaps between hairs, or a thin tail. Henna shades the skin so the gap stops reading as a gap. This is the one that photographs like microblading and washes off.

If your brows are — just pale

Tint

Dense enough, wrong colour. Twenty minutes, thirty dollars, and it is the highest-value thing on this whole site per dollar spent.

The forty-eight hour patch test

Henna and tint both need one, and it is not a formality. PPD and its relatives cause a real allergic response in a small number of people, and the reaction shows up on a brow line rather than an arm. Come in, we put a dot behind the ear, you leave. Two minutes.

Studios that skip this are gambling with your face to save you one trip. We will not book the appointment without it, which occasionally costs us the booking.

What lamination actually is

The same chemistry as a perm, run in the other direction. A thioglycolate relaxer opens the disulphide bonds in the hair, the hairs are combed into the shape you want, and a neutraliser closes the bonds again in the new position. Six weeks, then it grows out.

It can be overdone. Left on too long the hair goes frizzy and brittle and there is no fixing it before it grows out. That is why the timing is watched rather than set by a timer across the room, and why we will not laminate the same brows more often than every six weeks.

Asked often.

Is brow lamination the same as microblading?

No. Microblading is a tattoo: pigment in the skin, eighteen months, and a correction problem if it goes wrong. Lamination is a perm for brow hair, six weeks, and it grows out. We do not do microblading and we will tell you honestly that most people asking for it want henna.

Will brow lamination work on thin brows?

It gives direction, not density. On genuinely sparse brows it can make gaps more obvious by standing the hairs up off them. That is the case for henna underneath, and we will say so before you pay for it.

How long after brow lamination can I get them wet?

Twenty-four hours. After that, normally. The one real rule is not to brush them flat while they are setting on day one.

Do brow tints need a patch test?

Yes, forty-eight hours ahead, for both henna and tint. It takes two minutes at the desk and it is free.

Can I have brows done in the same appointment as lashes?

Yes, and most people do. Brows first, then lashes, because you cannot lie face-up under a lash light with fresh wax on your brow bone and enjoy it.

Sixty minutes, six weeks.

Brow appointments usually available within the week. Henna and tint need a patch test forty-eight hours ahead.
