CAN YOU CUT ME RIGHT NOW?

Almost always, yes. Here's the honest version: how the list works, the hours it actually runs long, and why we keep taking names right up to the minute we lock the door.

— How the list works

One name.
One text.
That's the whole system.

There's a tablet on the counter inside the door. First name, phone number, then either pick a barber or tap next available. Fifteen seconds, and nobody makes you create an account. If you'd rather not touch it, say your name to whoever is closest and somebody will write it down. The tablet is a convenience, not a gate.

We text you once, when you're two out. That's the only message you'll ever get from us. Until it lands, the block is yours: get a coffee on the corner, run into the print shop, sit in the car. Come back when the phone buzzes and you go straight into the chair.

Miss the turn? We hold your spot for ten minutes, then take the next name and slot you in behind him. You lose the turn, not the day. Nobody gets thrown off this list.

Requesting a barber works the same way. See who works which days before you sign in, and put his name next to yours.

— Straight answers

Three things we won't pretend about.

Everything else is on shop policies.

01

Names go down until we close

Not thirty minutes before. Not "last cut at 6:15." If you're through the door at 6:58 on a Saturday, your name goes on the list and somebody cuts you. It means we finish late some nights. That's the trade, and we made it on purpose.

02

You can leave the block

Being on the list doesn't tie you to the bench. The text comes at two out, which is usually twenty to twenty-five minutes of room. Go do something. Just keep the phone where you can feel it.

03

Requesting a barber costs time

It's free, but it isn't instant. Asking for Ray at noon on a Saturday can add half an hour, because you only move when his chair opens. We'll tell you the gap when you sign in so you can pick, instead of finding out at minute forty.

— Walk in. Sit down. Look sharp.

Call the counter and we'll put your name down before you've parked. Or come in and use the tablet. Same list either way.
