FIVE FIELDS No account · no app · no deposit

YOU DON'T NEED THIS. HERE IT IS.

Eight in ten people who sit down here never made an appointment. Push the door open and put a name on the list. That's the shop working the way it's supposed to. But if you want a chair held, five fields will do it.

Three things faster than a form.

All of them end with you in a chair sooner. We'd rather tell you that than take the booking.

01

Just come in

Tuesday to Thursday before eleven, the bench is empty and you're cut in five minutes. Filling this in would take longer than the wait.

02

Text the shop line

404.555.0188. Say your name and roughly when. Whoever is closest to the counter answers it between clients. Don't call. Nobody can hear a phone over four sets of clippers.

03

Ask at the chair

Getting cut today? Tell your barber before the cape comes off and he'll write your next one straight into the book. Same chair, same time, every third Saturday if you want it.

— Hold a chair

Name, number,
and roughly when.

That's all we need. We'll text you back with a time, usually inside the hour we're open. Nothing is booked until that text lands. If you don't hear from us by close, we didn't get it, so come in as a walk-in.

Barber

Marcus and Omar work Tuesday to Saturday, Ray works Wednesday to Sunday, Dean works Thursday to Sunday. Requesting a name costs nothing and never moves you down the list. It only means we skip the wrong chair and take you when the right one opens.

On the list.

On a live site this lands on the shop phone and a barber texts you back a time. This one is an interactive prototype, so nothing was actually sent. Kingsmen Barber Co. is not a real business.

Closed Mondays · Ten-minute grace on a booked slot · Four hours' notice to cancel, by text
No deposit taken and no card held. We have never charged anyone for not turning up.

— What happens next

A text. Not
an email chain.

Somebody at the counter reads it between clients and replies with a time. That's usually within the hour on a Tuesday and can stretch to the end of the day on a Saturday afternoon, when nobody is looking at a phone until the list clears.

If the barber you asked for is off that day, we tell you before we give you a slot, not after you've driven over. You choose: take an open chair, or wait until he's back. Nobody gets quietly reassigned.

The book only opens two weeks out. Booking further ahead than that mostly means you cancel it, so we don't offer it. Half of every day stays unbooked on purpose. That's the half the walk-in list runs on, and it's why the wait rarely gets past forty-five minutes even at the worst hour of the week.

Need to move it? Text the shop line four hours ahead. First time you miss one there's no fee and no conversation about it. Twice in a row and you're still welcome any day we're open, just as a walk-in rather than on the book.

THE DOOR
IS OPEN
TILL SEVEN.

Names go down until the minute we lock it. If you're standing inside before then, you're getting cut.
