What lamination cannot do
Make a sparse brow look full. It changes where existing hairs point, which creates the illusion of density by lifting them off the skin and combing them upward, and on a brow with real gaps it will make the gaps more visible rather than less.
People book lamination expecting the Instagram brow, which is a laminated brow on somebody who already had a lot of hair. If you do not, the honest answer is a brow pencil or a consultation with somebody who does microblading, and Iris will say so before you pay.
The overprocessing risk
Lamination is a chemical relaxer and it is possible to leave it on too long. Overprocessed brow hair goes frizzy, dry and straw-like, and it does not recover: it grows out, over six to eight weeks.
Which is why the timings here are conservative, why fine or previously-bleached brows get a shorter first process, and why we will not laminate more often than every eight weeks even if the effect has dropped off at six. Nobody has ever been glad they pushed it.
Aftercare, which is short
Dry for twenty-four hours: no water, no steam, no sweat, no cleanser on the brow. That is genuinely the whole list and it is the one thing that ruins a lamination.
After that, a brow oil or a plain castor oil at night. Laminated hair is chemically processed hair and it appreciates the same thing coloured hair does.
