Mira opened Gilded in 2018 after running a private nail bar out of a back room on East 6th. She still does the consult on every custom paint set, and she still picks the season's twelve colors herself.

The Gilded Nail opened in 2018 in a 700-square-foot space on East 6th. The original idea was to build a place where every chair had time for art — three chairs, three techs, no walk-in crush.
Eight years later we have three chairs, three techs, twelve hundred members. No second location. No franchise. Just slow, hand-painted, hand-shaped work — by appointment, every appointment.
