The door
North side of Belmont, between 27th and 28th, three doors east of the coffee place. Narrow frontage, one large window, and the name in small dark type at about eye height with nothing else on the glass.
It is unlocked during opening hours. If you are early there is a bench inside and a pot of tea, and nobody will hurry you off it.
Parking
Free on Belmont and on the side streets either way, unmetered in this stretch, and genuinely fine on a weekday. Saturday mornings are the exception and 28th is usually the answer. Read the permit signs on the residential blocks north of Belmont; a couple of them are zoned.
By bus and bike
The 15 runs the length of Belmont and stops at 28th. There is a staple rack directly outside and a covered one in the alley behind the block.
If you are late
Text (503) 555-0131. Ten minutes is fine and you get the full appointment. Past fifteen, with six clients on the day and no gaps between them, we do what fits in the remaining time rather than run into the next person, and if that means dropping the art we will ask you which nails matter.
Past twenty-five minutes on a two-hour set it becomes a reschedule, which nobody enjoys and which is the honest version.
