Treatments · from $185

No downtime. Any month.

The only category here with no seasonal constraint and no recovery, which makes it the thing most people start with and the thing most people underestimate. It is also the only treatment we will do the same day you first walk in.

Cedar & Glow / HydraFacial
01
HydraFacial Deluxe

Cleanse, acid peel, vortex extraction, and a hydrating serum infusion, plus one booster. The extraction step is the reason this beats a manual facial on congested skin: suction rather than pressure, so nothing gets pushed deeper.

02
The booster

LED for redness and acne, a peptide blend for fine lines, or a vitamin C and B5 infusion for dullness. Chosen at the chair rather than upsold, and the price does not change.

03
The Catalina

Our signature. Everything above, then a cold cactus-stone massage through the face, jaw and neck. It sounds like a gimmick, it is the most-rebooked treatment here, and the reason is the jaw.

04
Dermaplaning, added

Ten minutes, added to either. Removes vellus hair and the top layer of dead skin, and makes everything applied afterwards work better for about three weeks.

Before an event

Book it three to five days out rather than the day before. Extraction leaves some redness for a few hours and occasionally brings something to the surface on day two.

What a HydraFacial actually does

Three things in sequence, which is the whole design. A mild acid solution loosens the bonds between dead surface cells. A vortex tip then applies gentle suction to lift them and the contents of congested pores out, rather than pressing them in as manual extraction does. Then a serum is infused into skin that has just been cleared and is unusually receptive to it.

The result is real and it is temporary: skin looks brighter and feels smoother for about a week, and pores are genuinely emptier for two to three. Regular treatment at four-week intervals does produce cumulative improvement in texture and congestion.

What it will not do

Anything below the surface. Acne scarring, sun-induced pigment, and etched lines are all dermal problems, and no surface treatment reaches them however good it feels. Those want microneedling, light or laser, and a proper retinoid at home.

If that is what you came in for, we will say so at the consult and put a HydraFacial in the plan as the maintenance rather than the treatment. It works well in that role and badly as a substitute.

The cactus stones

Chilled basalt and prickly-pear pads, worked along the jaw, temples and neck for the last ten minutes. It began as something the practitioner did for herself after long days and became the most-requested part of the menu.

The reason is straightforward: almost everybody in this desert is clenching, and ten minutes of cold on the masseter does something a warm towel does not. Several people who came for the facial ended up having masseter treatment because of it.

Asked often.

Is a HydraFacial worth it?

For congestion, dullness, texture and hydration, yes, and the results last about a week with cumulative benefit at four-week intervals. For scarring, pigment or etched lines it is not the right treatment and we will say so.

How long before an event should I get a facial?

Three to five days, not the day before. Extraction leaves some redness for a few hours and occasionally brings something to the surface on day two.

How often should you get a HydraFacial?

Every four weeks if you want cumulative improvement, or whenever you like if you want to look better for a week. Both are legitimate and neither is a schedule you are failing.

What is dermaplaning and is it worth adding?

Ten minutes of removing vellus hair and surface dead skin with a blade. It makes everything applied afterwards absorb better for about three weeks and it does not make hair grow back thicker, which is a myth.

The one with no downtime.

One eighty-five, or two twenty-five with the cactus stones, and the only thing here we will do on a first visit.
